My Name is Jessica Lynn Keller, I have been a make-up artist for close to 9 years. I first became interested in make-up after one of my mothers friends lived at our house.. I was 11 years old and this woman would sit for hours on the floor in front of a big mirror, she would lay a towel down next to the mirror and empty her entire make-up bag onto the towel. I became so fascinated with the before and after, that I often found myself sitting right next to her just watching in amazement. I found make-up artistry to be a form of instant gratification for a woman. Perhaps a boost of confidence. So often I would notice that when a woman would take a little time to spend on herself, putting a little make-up on, styling her hair..the radiance she would carry demanded attention. I grew up in Florida since I was 4 years old, I worked as a preschool teacher for 7 years before moving to a suburb of Chicago in my mid. 20's.. I knew what I wanted was a change, to have the ability to create a career in a beauty atmosphere. I started my career in the cosmetics world working as a manager for Ulta Salon & Cosmetics in Naperville, Il. It was a great opportunity to learn and explore several different cosmetic lines, a couple of years into being in the Midwest, I was ready to make the move back to Florida. Once I got back, I began working at a boutique beauty lounge and going to school for aesthetics. I loved where my career was taking me..I felt at home for the first time with a career. I continued to grow., working as a facial and wax specialist at a salon in Tampa, when I was recruited to work for the Estee Lauder Company..doing what I loved the most..make-up. I most recently have been with Bobbi Brown Cosmetics..I worked at Neiman Marcus for 3 years and am currently apart of Bobbi Browns freelance team. My passion was never the sales aspect.. which is why I feel like freelancing has opened opportunities for me that I have always dreamed of... I created an event called " Where Arts Collide " while working for Bobbi Brown at Neiman Marcus. I am extremely passionate about all aspects of art, so to pull some of my favorite things together..was truly incredible. My husband co/owns Classic Tattoos in Pinellas Park, Florida. I held this event at the tattoo shop, bringing make-up artistry, paintings, tattoos, and photography together. This event was completely out of the comfort zone for Bobbi Brown..This event was a huge success. By doing what I love to do, I wanted to put together a website that not only represented my own work, my own portfolio, but several artists portfolios and contact info. I wanted to create a website that made it easy for a bride to find a make-up artist, a hair stylist,a photographer etc. all in one place. When planning my own wedding I would often look on the website offbeat bride, or rock n roll bride, I am covered in tattoos I like and enjoy artsy things, I wanted to find some things out of the normal bride zone. I wanted this website to be a helpful tool.. with both aspects. I love doing make-up, I love enhancing the natural beauty in someone as well as adding a little drama..I love to see the confidence that comes out when a woman feels on top of the world.... Please email me with any questions you may have. I look forward to being apart of whatever special event you have planned...
Sincerely, Jessica Lynn Keller
